The flat profile of the cover prate provides the optimum aes- thetically appealing sprinkler design. In addition, the concealed design of the Series LFII Residential Concealed Pendent Sprinklers (FY3596) provides 112 inch (12,7 mm) vertical adjustment. This adjustment provides a measure of flexibility when cutting fixed sprinkler drops. The Serles LFII Residential Concealed Sprinklers are intended for use irk the fallowing scenarios: • wet and dry pipe residential sprin- kler systems for one- and two-fam- ily dwellings and mobile homes per NFPA 13D • wet and dry pipe rezldential sphn- kler systems for restdenfial occu- pancies up to and including four stories in height per NFPA 1318 • wet and dry pipe sprinkler systems for the residential portions of any occupancy per NFPA 13 fMPORTANT Always refer to Technical Data Sheet TFP700 for the 'INSTALLER WARNING' fhaf provides cautions with respect to handkng and instal- lation of sprinkler systems and com- ponents. Improper handling and in- stallation can permanently damage a sprinkler system or its compo- nents and cause the sprinkler to fail to opemle fn a fire situation or cause t to operate prematurely. Dry Pipe System Application The Series LFII Residential Concealed Pendent Sprinklers offers a laboratory approved option for designing dry pipe residential sptinkler systems, whereas, most residential sprinklers are labora- tory approved for wet systems only. Through extensive testing it has been determined that the number of deslgn sprinklers (Hydraulic design area) for the Series LFII Residential Concealed Pendent Sprinklers (TY3596] need not be increased over the number of 69 - sign sprinklers (hydraullc design area) as specified for wet pipe sprinkler sys- tems. as is accustomed for density/ area sprinkler systems designed per NFPA 13. Consequently, the Series LFII Residen- tial Concealed Pendent Sprinklers of- fer the features of non -water [filled pipe In addition to not having to increase the number of desgn sprinMers (hy- draulicr for do - signed to NFPA 13, 131), or 13R. (Lot 1029) 81770 Andalusia, La Quinta, CA The sprinkler plans you submitted for the above referenced project have been reviewed by Riverside County Fire Department Planning & Engineering personnel and are approved with the following conditions. A minimum of three spare fire sprinklers of each type and temperature rating along with a sprinkler wrench should be located in a spare cabinet at the system riser or other approved location. Permanently marked identification signs shall be attached to all control valves. A warning sign, with minimum 1/ inch letters, shall be affixed adjacent to the main shutoff valve and shall state the following: WARNING: The water system for this home supplies fire sprinklers that require certain flows and pressures to fight a fire sprinkler system, such as water softeners, filtration systems, and automatic shut-off valves, shall not be added to the system without a review of the fire sprinkler system by a fire protections specialist. DO NOT remove this sign. The following inspections/tests are required to be witnessed by the Fire Department Planning Division Staff: (a) Overhead Rough and Hydro static test: All piping shall be visible and pumped at normal operating pressure (b) Final inspection The Fire Department job card, approved plans and condition letter must be at the job site or NO inspection will be performed. Applicant/installer shall be responsible to contact the Fire Department to schedule inspection(s) a minimum of 72 hours prior to the requested inspection date. All questions regarding the meaning of these conditions should be referred to the Fire Department Planning & Engineering Staff at (760) 863 8886.
