Plan Types (23, 25 and 26) shall be submitted separately and under separate Master Plan Type permits. The FCMP2019-0004 shall be considered as applicable for only Plan Type 23. 2. Provide Hydraulic calculations for the 2-head calc as noted on the plans for 15'xl5' spacing. (Only 1-head 20'x20' calcs were provided. 3. Plans shall identify the ceiling height and slope for all areas. 4. Soffits against walls that exceed 30-inches in depth require sprinkler protection underneath in accordance with NFPA 13D Figure 8.2.5.3.3(a) 5. Calculations packets do not correctly or efficiently identify the water supply. The CVWD Residential Connection Charge Estimate identifies the system output water supply at the domestic (discharge side) of the water meter. *Static Pressure is 97.40 psi / 96.32 Inlet pressure / 66.72 Outlet (Residual) pressure while flowing 29.5 gpm. It is suggested to start the system calculations from the discharge side of the water meter as the friction losses are already accounted for. The water supply curve should be identified based on the Static (97.4) to Residual (66.72) while flowing 29.5 GPM. a. Sprinkler system demand should not exceed 90% of the available water supply. (LAQ MUN Title 8 amendments) b. Water Supply info that was provided was 87.30 Static, 86.00 Residual, Flow 500 GPM. 6. Hydraulic Calculations and the Number of Design Sprinklers shall be consistent with NFPA 13D Chapter 10 and Section 10.2. a. Special attention should be given to 10.2.1(2) and the specific requirements for sprinklers located in the beams and the room to not exceed 600 square feet b. Rooms and design areas that do not comply with Section 10.2.1 and 10.2.3, Fire will accept a minimum 3-head calc for these areas. 7. Plans identify the installation of components that are not specifically required by NFPA 13D (ITV, Bell, FAU Attic Coverage when not located on habitable level). Provide plan notes, if desired, identifying the inclusion of system components beyond the minimum requirements. a. Bell location, if provided, should be located towards the front accessible side of the structure and directed to the road or neighboring residence to ensure that it could be heard.
