Is Amended to Read: During slurry seal operations, it shall be the Contractor's responsibility to place protective covering over, or to otherwise avoid slurry seal coating of manholes, utility covers, concrete gutters, concrete cross gutters, and drainage facilities, survey monuments and remove said covering and/or slurry seal coating after slurry sealing has been completed. Sheet 4000-24, Section 16: Earthwork, Replace the measurement and payment paragraph with the following: As Reads: The contract Lump Sum price paid for Earthwork includes full compensation for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals and for doing all the work involved in Earthwork, complete in place, as shown on the plans, as specified in the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction and these Special Provisions, and as directed by the Engineer, unless there is a bid item specifically called out for a more specific item of work. Is Amended to Read: Earthwork shall be paid at contract unit price per Cubic Yard (CY) for all earthwork and grading required to complete the bike lane widening and parkway grading; this item of work includes full compensation for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals and for doing all the work involved in Earthwork, complete in place, as shown on the plans, as specified in the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction and these Special Provisions, and as directed by the Engineer, unless there is a bid item specifically called out for a more specific item of work. Earthwork will be measured and paid by export material leaving the site and legally disposed.
