Portions of plans and specifications not specifically mentioned in this Addendum remain in force. PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS Section 1210: Sheet 1210 -1, -Add the following paragraph after paragraph 3: Item#6 unit and item total are shown as the same number and will be taken as an item total of $8,000. Once the actual area is determined it will be measured and paid as force account work. Section 4000: Sheet 4000-3 Section 5: Clearing and Grubbing, subsection 300-1.4 Pa meet Add the following sentence to paragraph 2. This item of work will also include cleaning out the drywells adjacent to the headwalls in the bottom of the retention basin. Sheet 4000-4, Section 6: Earthwork, Add the following paragraphs after paragraph 5: Soil and material that was deposited on the maintenance road shall be removed and placed back onto the adjacent slopes. This shall be paid for under the repair of the retention basin slopes it is adjacent to. Mass Excavation Grading will be measured and paid by export material leaving the site and legally disposed. The shaping of the slopes and restoring the invert of the retention basin is considered incidental to this and other items of work. Scarification of the bottom of the retention basin shall also include restoring the grade of the bottom of the basin to the existing invert including filling in rutting that may have occurred. M CLARIFICATION Question 1. On the bid form the unit price for liner repair when extended does not equal the total bid. Will we receive a revised bid form? a. It will be considered as a total of $8,000 for the item total. Question 2. Just to clarify, are only the pipes, inlets and headwalls shown on the as built drawings are to be cleaned out? a. Correct, the drywells are also added into the project. Question 3. Under the lump sum payment for repair of unlined slopes, does this only include slopes within the basin, inside the perimeter road? a. It also includes repair of the perimeter road and the removal of deposited soil/material on the road. Question 4. Does the rip rap need to be cleaned? a. No Question 5. Does all the aggregate base on the perimeter road need to be replaced or only where it is rutted? a. It will need to be replaced where rutting has occurred. Question 6. Must we maintain the pedestrian easement during the project, or can we temporarily close it? a. It will not need to be maintained during construction. Question 7. Is the liner repair force account work? a. Yes. The Contractor is hereby notified; Addendum No. 1 must be acknowledged and initialed as stipulated under the instructions to Bidders and submitted as part of the Bid.
