RESPONSE TO QUESTIONS
The following are the City's responses to the questions received:
1.) Question: The RFP states that "Proposals can be submitted via email, hand
delivery, or mail. All proposals must bear original or electronic signatures"
However in the next statement it states "Submit one (1) paper original in a sealed
envelope and email an electronic original, AND as a single document in a .PDF
format, to the following contact"
Can the submission be all electronic or we need to mail out "paper original". Also
confirm the delivery date for paper original if required.
Answer: Please mail ONE paper original of the work proposal and ONE paper
original cost proposal in SEPARATE envelopes AND e-mail an electronic pdf of
the Work Proposal ONLY. DO NOT EMAIL THE COST PROPOSAL.
Proposals must be RECEIVED no later than Monday, December 18, 2023 by
5:OOPM PST.
2.) Question: Please confirm the total acceptable page count is 30 pages. Section
IV. Proposal Format states 30 page count, however last the section also states
that "The following are NOT included in the 20 -page count:"
Answer: 30 -page count is acceptable
3.) Question: Do you have the 1997 permitted plans for planned seismic retrofits
that can be shared now?
Answer: No, they are not available.
4.) Question: Please provide the Master Plan for the new Cultural Campus. Please
confirm the limitation of this scope is to assess the existing lumber yard property
only and not the museum property and adjacent vacant parcel.

5.) Question: Is a CASp inspection required?
Answer: No, only the ADA assessment against CCBC 11 B for commercial
facilities is required.
6.) Question: Under task 1, it is noted to perform an assessment to determine the
current building code deficiencies and to provide recommendations to bring into
compliance. Please confirm that this only includes the pertinent structural
requirements and not the noted assumed accessibility and other building code
requirements that would be captured under Task 2.
