AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT
WITH HAROLD CONTRERAS BORGETTI
This Amendment No. 2 ("Amendment 2") to Temporary Employment
("Agreement") is made and entered into as of the 1st day of January 2024 ("Effective
Date") by and between the City of La Quinta ("City"), a California municipal corporation
and Harold Contreras Borgetti ("Employee").
RECITALS
WHEREAS, on or about January 1, 2023, the City and Employee entered into an
Agreement to employ said employee as a Temporary Maintenance & Operations Worker
in the Public Works/Engineering Department on a temporary status; and
WHEREAS, on or about July 1, 2023, the City and Employee executed
Amendment No. 1 amending Section 1. Duties, 2.A Term, and Section 3A Salary; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to amend the Agreement to extend the term thereof;
and
WHEREAS, the City and the Employee mutually desire to amend this agreement,
as provided below.
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenant herein contained, the
parties agree as follows:
AMENDMENT
In consideration of the foregoing Recitals and the covenants and promises
hereinafter contained, and for good and valuable consideration, the sufficiency and
receipt of which are hereby acknowledged, the parties hereto agree as follows:
1. Section 2A. Term is amended to read as follows:
Section 2. Term.
A. Temporary employment shall commence on January 1, 2023, which shall be
deemed the effective date of this Agreement, and will terminate on June 30, 2024.
In all other respects, the original Agreement shall remain in effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City and Employee have executed this Amendment
2 to the Agreement on the respective dates set forth below.
