all of their drink tickets, they will not be given anymore tastings. Beer tastings

alcohol during the event; however, they can sell merchandise (t-shirts, hats, etc.) if
they choose. The ABC license will be obtained by the City’s nonprofit partner,
SCRAP Gallery.
Two La Quinta Rotary Club volunteers will be stationed at each brewery to pour the
beer tastings. Brewery staff are not allowed to pour beer, La Quinta Rotary
volunteers are responsible for pouring all beer tastings. Cocktail tables will be set
up throughout the venue and there will be a seating area featuring lounge chairs
and tables. After entering the venue, guests can walk around tasting different
beers, enjoy live entertainment, and partake in the dining options provided by food
vendors. Lyft will set up a designated Lyft station (see map) offering easy access to
safe transportation.
Breweries: There will be approximately 15 breweries participating in the event this
year. Breweries are required to arrive at the venue no later than 2:00pm the day of
the event to ensure they have enough time to set up. Brewery booths will consist of
a canopy, table, chairs, hand wash station as per health department regulations,
ice, jockey box, and craft beer. Breweries can bring branded banners or giveaway
items such as branded sunglasses or coasters if they choose.
Entertainment: DJ Francesca Harding will play music for the duration of the event.
In addition to a live DJ, the event will also include lawn games such as bean bag
toss, giant beer pong, air hockey, foosball, and giant Connect Four. Local nonprofit
SCRAP Gallery will install a decorative photo wall which will act as a festive
backdrop for those who wish to take photos.
Food: Four food vendors will participate in the event:
Toscano’s (covered tent): Pizza, pasta, and salad
Las Casita (covered tent): tacos, burritos, and nachos
Straight and Marrow Noodle (covered tent): Vietnamese fusion
The Big Easy Sandwich (food truck): sandwiches, burgers, and fries
Each food vendor will have non-alcoholic beverages such as soda and water
available for purchase.
Security: The City of La Quinta will hire ten, unarmed security guards from Serna
Security for the event. Two guards will be stationed at the entrance of the event to
ID each guest, two guards will be stationed at the event’s exit, one guard will be
stationed at each of the emergency exits, and the remaining guards will be roaming
the event to ensure all event guests are following the rules/guidelines. In addition
to Serna Security, the City will hire two-three uniformed Sheriff Deputies to be on
site 4:30pm-9:30pm. Sheriff Deputies will be paid for using the Community
Resource’s events budget.
Parking: Parking is available in the parking areas surrounding the event (see
map). The City events team has confirmed with the One Eleven La Quinta Center
property owners that all parking lot lighting is working properly and will be
monitored leading up to the event.
Traffic Plan: Because the event takes place in a parking lot, there is no need to
close streets. Event attendees can access and egress the venue via Highway 111. A
small portion of the parking lot directly in front of the venue entrance will be closed
to vehicle traffic so guests can enter and exit the venue safely.
Equipment: Fencing, portable restrooms, and stage will be installed the day before
the event, Friday, November 1, 2019. Additional event equipment and vendor
equipment will be set up the day of the event. All event and vendor equipment will
be removed at the end of the event except for the fencing and restrooms. Fencing
