*P3a. Description: The 79950 Horseshoe Road property is a one-story, wood framed single-family residence. It was built in the Spanish
Styled Ranch style. The building faces west from the end of the Horseshoe Road cul-de-sac. It has a U-shaped plan with wings extending out
to the northeast and southeast with a symmetrical front façade. The dwelling has a low-pitched side-gabled roof clad with red terracotta tiles,
and with a brick chimney. The roof has broad overhanging, open eaves with exposed rafter ends. An attached garage is located on the
southeast wing back from the street at the end of a driveway with a detached metal framed carport. The exterior walls of the dwelling are
clad with brick masonry. The fenetration at the front elevation consists of two large single-pane fixed picture windows set within stucco
segmental arches. The recessed entryway is located within a central stucco archway. It features a large wood paneled door with two
rectangluar sidelites. Character defining features of Spanish Styled Ranch style homes that can be seen on the subject property include: the
irregular floorplan, clay tile roof, brick / stucco clad walls, arched window openings, and exposed rafters / beams.

The 79950 Horseshoe Road property was researched at the City of La Quinta, the La Quinta Historical Society, the La Quinta Public Library, and
via online archives including Coachella Valley Telephone Directories (1946-1957), City of La Quinta building permits, regional newspapers within
the UC Riverside California Digital Newspaper Collection, aerial imagery from ca. 1930s forward, and the Riverside County Assessor's Office
online property search. Results are limited. The property is not listed in available Coachella Valley Telephone Directories. See Continuation

*B6. Construction History: The subject property was constructed in 1968. In 2001, property owner Sam Vince obtained a permit to
abandon the septic tank and connect the residence to the sewer system; the work was completed by Econo Sewer Service (Permit No. 0107-
087). In 2005, Vince obtained a permit to reroof the residence; the work was completed by Palm Desert Contractors (Permit No. 05-
1380). Aerial photography did not offer any additional information regarding changes to the property over time. No substantial alterations
have been made to the front elevation facing the public right-of-way. The building appears to retain its essential form.

Past owners and occupants include: Sam J. and Barbara E. Vince and their son,,Navy Seaman Michael W. Vince (1980-2005; Desert Sun / Permits),
and Vicki M. Vince (1988; Desert Sun).
The home was built as a Spanish Styled Ranch within the Indian Springs residential subdivision, recorded in 1960-61, and is within the Indian Springs
(previously the Westward Ho Golf Club) neighborhood. The subject property was constructed in 1968 by an unidentified builder.
The dwelling is associated with the theme of Residential Development (1934-1970s), being located in one of La Quinta's first subdivisions after the
development of the Cove, but it does not possess individual documented significance in relation to this theme. The property is assigned a 6Z status
