*P3a. Description: The 80065 Vista Grande property is a single-story wood frame Tract Ranch residence with Custom elements. The
building faces northwest from the south side of Vista Grande where it meets Calle Serena at the southeast corner. The building has a
rectilinear plan and asymmetrical façade. It features a low-pitched hipped roof clad with asphalt composite shingles. The roof has broad
overhanging open eaves with a fascia board and exposed rafters. Exterior walls are clad with stucco and horizontal board. An attached garage
is located on the west elevation facing Calle Serena. The fenetration at the front elevation consists of single-lite vinyl framed sliding windows.
The entry is recessed beneath the eave and supported with a square wood post clad with stucco. The front door is made of undecorated wood
with an iron grill security door. Character defining features of Ranch style homes that can be seen on the subject property include:
asymmetrical façade, wood frame construction, sliding windows, stucco siding, a recessed entry, exposed rafters, and an attached garage.

The 80065 Vista Grande property was researched at the City of La Quinta, the La Quinta Historical Society, the La Quinta Public Library, and via
online archives including Coachella Valley Telephone Directories (1946-1957), City of La Quinta building permits, regional newspapers within
the UC Riverside California Digital Newspaper Collection, aerial imagery from ca. 1930s forward, and the Riverside County Assessor's Office
online property search. Results are limited. The property is not listed in available Coachella Valley Telephone Directories. See Continuation

*B6. Construction History: The subject property was constructed in 1973. In 1997, property owner Bruce G. Bell obtained a permit to
re-roof the residence, with the work completed by Bell (Permit No. 9732-007). In 2003, property owner Steve Reiter obtained a permit for a
sewer hookup (Permit No. 0306-106). In 2011, property owner Lori Fahnestock obtained a permit to demolish an unpermitted storage roof,
with the work completed by SC Construction & Property (Permit No. 11-0524). Aerial photography did not offer any additional information
regarding changes to the property over time. Apart from vinyl window and door replacements at the front of the dwelling, the essential form
of the residence appears to be intact.

The home was built as a Tract Ranch home with Custom elements within the Desert Date Garden subdivision, originally recorded in 1924. The subject
property was constructed in 1973 by an unidentified builder.
The dwelling is associated with the theme of Residential Development (1934-1970s), being located in one of the early subdivisions outside the Cove
during the mid-20th century. However, the property does not possess individual documented significance in relation to this theme. The property is
assigned a 6Z status code: Found ineligible for NRHP, CRHR or Local Register through survey evaluation.
