RELEASE FROM REVISED STATEMENT OF INSTITUTION OF
PROCEEDINGS OF REDEVELOPMENT
THIS RELEASE FROM REVISED STATEMENT OF INSTITUTION OF
PROCEEDINGS OF REDEVELOPMENT (the "Release") is made by the SUCCESSOR
AGENCY TO THE LA QUINTA REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, a public body, corporate and
politic (the "Agency") and the successor in interest by operation of law to the former La Quinta
Redevelopment Agency ("RDA"), in favor of La Quinta Plaza, LLC, a California Corporation
("Owner"), and all successors and assigns.
RECITALS
A. Owner is the fee simple; owner of that certain read property located at 47040, 47050
and 47060 Washington Street, with ,Assessor Parcel Numbers 643-200-018, 643-200-019, and
643-200-020„ respectively, and corner lot with Assessor Parcel Number 643-200-030, La Quinta,
California, and more particularly described in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein
by this reference (the "Property").
B. On or about July 5, 2007, the RDA executed that certain REVISED STATEMENT
OF INSTITUTION OF PROCEEDINGS OF REDEVELOPMENT, which was recorded on
October 4, 2007, as Document No. 2007-0619749 (the "Revised Statement"). The Revised
Statement was required to be executed and recorded pursuant to California Health and Safety Code
Section 3337:3 because the Property was located within the La Quinta Redevelopment Project Area
No. 1 (or "Project Area No. 1") and was subject to the "Project Area No. 1 Redevelopment
Plan," as established and more particularly described in the Revised Statement.

C. With the California Supreme Court' s decision in California Redevelopment
Association v. Matosantos (2011) 53 Ca1.4th 231, all redevelopment agencies in California,
including the RDA, were dissolved on. February 1, 2012. In June 2012, the California Legislature
passed Assembly Bill 1484 ("AB 1484"), and in September 2015, passed Senate Bill 107 ("SB
107"), both of which substantively and technically amended Assembly Bill 26 from the 2011- 12
First Extraordinary Session of the California Legislature ("A.B 26"), the original bill. enacting
redevelopment dissolution. AB 26, A13 1484, SB 107, and any and all other provisions enacted to
Parts 1.8 and 1.85 of Division 24 of the California Health and Safety Code are referred to herein
as the "Dissolution Law."
D. Pursuant to the Dissolution Law, the Agency is the successor in interest to the RDA
by operation of law. Also pursuant to the Dissolution Law, the Agency no longer has legal
authority to implement the Project Area No. 1 Redevelopment: Plan. As such, the Property may
be released from the constructive notice provided by the Revised Statement.
E. Owner has requested this Release to be executed and recorded with respect to the
Property, and, based on the reasons set forth in these Recitals, the Agency consents to the execution
and recording, of this Release.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Agency hereby certifies as follows:
1. The Property and the Owner (and Owner's successors and assigns) are hereby
RELEASED from the Revised Statement.
2. This Release does not denote completion of any work required to be completed on
the Property.
