A special meeting of the La Quinta City Council was called to order at 8:30 a.m. by Mayor
Evans.

REPORT ON ACTION(S) TAKEN IN CLOSED SESSION:
City Attorney Ihrke reported no actions were taken in Closed Session that require
reporting pursuant to Government Code section 54957.1 (Brown Act):
Council's authorization remains in place for the City Attorney, in coordination with the City
Attorney's Office and Special Counsel, to defend and protect the interests of the City in
the multiple bankruptcy cases filed by SilverRock Development Company and its
responsive affiliates as reported out for Closed Session Item No. 2 from the August 6,
2024, Council meeting.
Mr. Ihrke noted there is no new information to be added to the summary updates provided
at the December 11 and 17, 2024, Council meetings on the bankruptcy proceedings for
SilverRock Development Company and its affiliates; and at the request of debtor's
counsel and with the agreement of the other parties' legal counsel, the January 2, 2025,
hearing date on the Debtor -In -Possession (DIP) Financing/Term Sheet was rescheduled
by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court to January 15, 2025, to consolidate it with another matter,
the appointment of a brokerage firm to assist the Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO) as
fiduciaries of the debtors, and to hear other remaining pending matters.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, a motion was made and seconded by Councilmembers
Fitzpatrick/McGarrey to adjourn at 9:32 a.m. Motion passed unanimously.
