The demo, construction, irrigation, and planting sheets have been revised to reflect this design change. All r Plan SheetN Changes on the rest of the sheets is only to legends that show quantities that changed. Such as the s.f. of lawn that is removed noted on sheets 2 and 5, or the s.f. of the rock and d.g. on sheets 19-22. ■ Clarifications Q-1. Reference plan sheets 16 & 17. Please indicate which conduit and conductor runs are existing to be re -used and which conduit and conductor runs are new. A.1 Sheets 16 & 17 indicate all NEW conduit and conductor runs. The assumption is that after the turf, soil, and tree removal there will be no more existing wiring or conduit that meets building code standard to be below 18" depth. 1 AI II Ul<NIA - Q-2. Reference plan sheet 16, detail A, and attachment. Detail A shows a 3/8" pull rope installed in conduit. Why? A.2 All new pull rope is to be installed. All new conduit to be installed. All new wiring to be installed. If there is existing wiring that is not damaged and conduit that is not damaged and meets the building code depth of 18"; there will still need to be new pull rope installed. Q-3. Reference plan sheet 16, lighting note #8. Note reads "Re -use existing conduit if it is below 18". Replace as needed or at the direction of the city." A.3 The plans have laid out all new conduit, wiring, and pull rope. There may be some areas that are undamaged and below the 18" depth after the demolition. In those cases, the existing conduit and wiring may be re -used. The plans account for the worst and more realistic case scenario after the demolition. Please confirm duration for spray and kill procedures... has been included in the total project duration. A.1 Yes. Q-2. It would be difficult to calculate how much existing gravel or decomposed granite could be re -used ... please define these specific areas. A►.2 The specific area on Fred Waring is identified on Sheets 4 and 5 for demolition. On Sheets 21 and 22, the legend identifies a square footage for complete coverage in the worst -case scenario that no decomposed granite is able to be re -used. Q-3. Please clarify how the City will determine what salvaged material will be acceptable... which type of decomposed granite material this will be attributable to. A.3 Sheets 21 and 22 indicate decomposed granite to be re- used occurs on Fred Waring only. Q-4. All hardscape edges must have that turf removed to a depth of 3" below top of hardscape. a&Qw The distance from the hardscape edge that must be removed to a 3" depth below the top of hardscape is 3'.
