Page S08.101 Detail 9 indicates 15" footing, which the inspector is interpreting to mean there needs to be
15" to dirt from bottom of form board. Contractor used 12" form boards rather than 9" form boards,
which would indicate there is 3" of form board placed into the footing. Total Footing/Slab is 24".
Contractor would need to pull form boards after placing conrete within 12 hours to remove all form board
from footing and would leave a 3" deep by 1 1/2" wide trench on the top of the footing. Inspector is
requiring a letter from Structural Engineer allowing the wider form boards. As they have almost 2 Phases
of pads formed up, it would need to cover entire project.

--3A & 3B on sheet GR S08.101, and
--1 B & 2B on sheet GR S08.102.
3. At pad footings and grade beams, the form board shall be shortened to the specified
9 inches where the form board is directly over the pad footing or grade beam.
