In accordance with Amendment 1, section 3, Option to Renew. The City would like to extend the term of the Lease Agreement between the Coachella Valley Water District and for the additional five-year period from June 15, 2025, through June 15, 2030. This letter memorializes that the City of La Quinta is exercising its option to renew (Renewal) the Pioneer Dog Park Lease Amendment No. 1 with CVWD. The Renewal provides for an additional five-year term through June 15, 2030, pursuant to Section 3 of the Lease Amendment No. 1. At the end of the current term, June 15, 2030, the parties may either negotiate an additional amendment of the existing lease or a new lease altogether. Enclosed please find a copy of the Lease Amendment No. 1 and the original Lease Agreement for your reference.
