Questions & Responses
1. At this point, is the process looking for a designed proposal, or is it more of an
application process to show interest and past works.
At this time, it is more of an application process. Artists who are interested can provide
previous work you would like to share but you are definitely welcomed to creating a
design concept as well.
2. Since it is a graphic mural, does the project still require installation by the
artist?
No. The language in Art Purchase Agreement regarding installation is not applicable for
this project. The City will contract with a third-party vendor to convert the design into a
vinyl wrap and install it on the building.
3. In the call to artist document, it indicates the Budget is $10,000, however below
in the contract it indicates that the compensation to be paid to the artist shall not
exceed $90,000. Which one is the correct budget?
The budget is up to $10,000. The amount mentioned on the Art Purchase Agreement
was a place holder amount in the City’s agreement template.
