I have also attached the previously approved determination form for reference and a blank one so that you can use it to determine if the work in providing an accessible exterior landing is required. The cost of compliance upgrades are limited to 20% of the adjusted construction cost of alterations ($4,000.00 in this case), meaning if the proposed cost in removal and replacement of concrete at the entrance exceeds this threshold you would not be obligated to complete it. With that said you would then find something else to upgrade and in my assessment of the deficiencies the items only get more costly. But what can be accomplished is providing the required "VAN" sign at the accessible parking space since that is missing from the current signage. Once you have the proposal for the work at the entrance and the determination form revised and completed please send it in reply to this email, I will review it and let you know if its acceptable. CORRECTIONS: -PATH OF TRAVEL UPGRADE SCOPE OF WORK NOT COMPLETE, APPLICANT TO PROVIDE A REVISED DETERMINATION FORM SINCE THE ENTRY THRESHOLD EXCEEDS 1/2" AND WILL REQUIRE REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF DOOR LANDING/MANEUVERING CLEARANCE.
