CALL TO ORDER
A regular quarterly meeting of the La Quinta Housing Authority was called to order at 7:42
p.m. by Chairperson McGarrey.
PRESENT: Authority Members Evans, Fitzpatrick, Peña, Sanchez, and Chairperson
McGarrey
ABSENT: None

CONSENT CALENDAR
1. APPROVE HOUSING AUTHORITY SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES DATED
MARCH 18, 2025
2. ADOPT RESOLUTION RESCINDING THE SURPLUS LAND DECLARATION
FOR ASSESSOR PARCEL NUMBER 600-030-039 LOCATED IN THE CITY OF
LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA, AND DECLARING THE SAME PARCEL EXEMPT
SURPLUS LAND PURSUANT TO THE SURPLUS LAND ACT; CEQA: FIND
THE RESCISSION AND DECLARATION EXEMPT FROM ENVIRONMENTAL
REVIEW PURSUANT TO THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT
[RESOLUTION NO. HA 2025-002]
MOTION – A motion was made and seconded by Authority Members Fitzpatrick/Peña to
approve the Consent Calendar as presented, with Item No. 2 adopting Resolution No. HA
2025-002. Motion passed unanimously.

HOUSING AUTHORITY MEMBERS' ITEMS
Authority Member Evans asked, following the Authority’s adoption of Resolution No. HA
2025-002, under Consent Calendar No. 2 on tonight’s agenda, can the request for
proposals (RFP) procurement process for an affordable housing developer be initiated
for the subject parcel (APN 600-030-039), as well as publish the statutorily required notice
of availability for the vacant parcel (APN 600-390-024) located on the north side of
Highway 111, west of Dune Palms Road (east of Best Buy). Executive Director McMillen
confirmed staff will look into initiating the respective processes for both parcels as soon
as possible.

There being no further business, it was moved and seconded by Authority Members
Fitzpatrick/Evans to adjourn at 7:44 p.m. Motion passed unanimously.
