MBA 2025-0006 to SDP 2024-0006 Rancho LQ Racquet Club Remodel (08.22.2025) August 22, 2025 Mark Pekarek Pekarek Architecture 31411 Camino Capistrano Suite 300 San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675 SUBJECT: MODIFICATION BY APPLICANT 2025-0006 REMODEL OF THE RANCHO LA QUINTA RACQUET CLUB BUILDING Dear Mr. Perkarek: The Design and Development Department has reviewed your request to make modifications to the exterior elevations of the racquet club building located at 79355 Cascades Circle within the Rancho La Quinta Country Club. The plan modifications are minor and will comply with the spirit and intent of Site Development Permit 2024-0006. The project consists of an interior and exterior remodel of the exercise room and the tennis pro shop within the racquet club building. The remodel does not result in additional square footage and will not result in a significant change to the original project as approved. The proposed doors, lintels, infill walls, stucco, and paint colors are consistent with the existing building as well as the originally approved elevations. The modification is approved as shown in the attached exhibits and subject to the following conditions of approval: 1. The applicant agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the City of La Quinta (“City”), its agents, officers and employees from any claim, action or proceeding to attack, set aside, void, or annul the approval of this Modification by Applicant. The City shall have sole discretion in selecting its defense counsel. The City shall promptly notify the applicant of any claim, action or proceeding and shall cooperate fully in the defense. 2. The applicant shall conform to all other corresponding conditions of approval for Site Development Permit 2024-0006. 3. The applicant shall inform the City of La Quinta’s Planning Division of any subsequent changes. Additional modifications may require subsequent review and may result in additional conditions of approval. 4. The applicant shall apply for and obtain all necessary building permits (BCOM2025-0040) and grading permits as required.
