PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the
City of La Quinta ("City") will hold a public hearing in the
Council Chambers of the La Qulnta City Hall, 78-495
Calle Tampico, La Qulnta, California, on November 4,
2014 beginning at 5:00 P.M. or as soon thereafter as the
matter may be heard, for the City's consideration of a
proposed Purchase, Sale, and Development Agreement
(PSDA) between the City and Silverrock Development
Company LLC. The purpose of the hearing Is to
receive public testimony on the proposed economic
development subsidy to be established with the PSDA.
The PSDA would facilitate the sale and development
of certain properties located within SilverRock Resort,
generally located southwest of Avenue 52 and Jefferson
Street in the City of La Qulnta, California 92253. The
development proposes two hotels with a combined
340 hotel rooms, 95 hotel branded residential units, a
conference center, approximately 300 resort residential
units, approximately 40,000 square -foot of retail space,
recreation areas and a 5,000 square foot golf clubhouse.
The PSDA would provide for the partial reimbursement
of transient occupancy tax (TOT) generated from the
individual hotels to be paid to Silverrock Development
Company LLC over a period of up to '15 years.
Any person may submit written comments on this
matter to the Community Development Department
prior to the hearing and/or may appear and be heard
in support of or opposition to this matter at the time
of the hearing. If you challenge the decision of this
case in court, you may be limited to raising only
those Issues that you or someone else raised either
at the public hearing, or in written correspondence
delivered to the Community Development Department
at, or prior to, the public hearing: Furthermore, you
must exhaust any administrative' remedies prior to
commencing a court challenge to City/Agency action.
A copy of the Sales Tax Sharing Agreement and the
Economic Development Subsidy Report for the
proposed transaction may be viewed by the public
Mondays through Thursdays, from 7:30 a.m. until
5:30 p.m., and Fridays, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.,
