Subject: Building Code Update Report for the Remaining Lots at The Estates Development at Point
Happy Ranch, Tract 31348, La Quinta, California.
Introduction
In accordance with your request, LGC Valley, Inc., (LGC) has prepared this letter to provide a building code
update for the remaining lots at the Estates Development at Point Happy Ranch, Tract 31348, La Quinta, California.
The purpose of this letter is to update the referenced report (LGC, 2021) to be in accordance with the adopted
building code (i.e. 2022 California Building Code).
Conclusion and Recommendations
Based on our current review, the seismic, foundation, and retaining wall design parameters previously
provided in the referenced report (LGC, 2021) are still considered applicable for the subject development. The
site design for the subject project should be performed using the parameters and recommendations in
accordance with the referenced LGC report (LGC, 2021) for the seismic design parameters, foundation design,
design settlement, bearing capacity, retaining wall design, and backfill considerations.
Closure
This letter is issued with the understanding that it is the responsibility of the owner, or of his/her
representative, to ensure that the information and recommendations contained herein are brought to the
attention of the structural/foundation engineer and the necessary steps are taken to see that the information is
implemented in the structural/foundation design, as necessary.
