EXECUTIVE SUMMARY •The project included minor improvements at curb ramps and pavement rehabilitation along Highway 111 within the city limits from west of Washington Street to Jefferson Street (Attachment 1). •The work is complete and Council acceptance will close the contract and allow final payment. FISCAL IMPACT The following is the financial accounting for Project No. 2022-25: Original Contract Amount $ 7,032,777 Contract Change Orders No. 1-4 $ 110,985 Final Contract Amount $ 7,143,762 Project Budget $ 8,280,777 Final Contract Amount ($ 7,143,762) Design & Professional Costs ($ 184,669) Inspection, Survey, Plans, & Other Construction Costs ($ 673,961) Anticipated Funds Remaining* $ 278,385 * All costs to date have been accounted for and no further costs are anticipated. CONSENT CALENDAR ITEM NO. 7 49 There are adequate funds to close this project; the final retention amount of $357,188 will be paid from account number 401-0000-20600. The anticipated savings ($278,385) will remain as available appropriations for Project No. 2019-05, Highway 111 Corridor. BACKGROUND/ANALYSIS On April 1, 2025, Council awarded a $7,032,777 contract to Granite Construction Company. On June 18, 2025, a Notice to Proceed was issued with a 90-working day completion time starting on June 23, 2025, and ending on October 28, 2025. The project was deemed substantially complete on September 26, 2025. No liquidated damages or early completion incentives are recommended. Contract Change Orders No. 1-4 were issued for additional work and bid quantity adjustments. The project construction effort is complete and in compliance with the plans and specifications. Staff recommends acceptance and release of the retention after the Notice of Completion is recorded. ALTERNATIVES Staff does not recommend an alternative.
