AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO SHORT -FORM SERVICES AGREEMENT
WITH BOX OF KITTENS
This Amendment No. 1 ("Amendment No. 1") to Short -Form Services Agreement
("Agreement") is made and entered into as of the 13th day of February 2026, ("Effective
Date") by and between the City of La Quinta ("City"), a California Municipal Corporation
and Charter City organized under the Constitution and laws of the State of California with
its principal place of business at 78495 Calle Tampico, La Quinta, California 92253, and
Box of Kittens, a California Limited Liability Corporation ("Vendor").
RECITALS
WHEREAS, on or about August 1, 2025, the City and Vendor entered into an
Agreement to provide Video Production Services, for a total not to exceed amount of
$9,500; and
WHEREAS, the City and Vendor mutually agree to amend Exhibit "B" of the
Agreement to include additional services related to media production and photography,
as described Exhibit "B" attached to this Amendment No. 1 and incorporated herein by
this reference;
WHEREAS, the City and Vendor mutually agree to amend Section 5
Compensation of the Agreement to increase the total not to exceed compensation amount
for fiscal year 2025/26by $12,200 to $21,700 to include the additional services.
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenant herein contained, the
parties agree as follows:
AMENDMENT
In consideration of the foregoing Recitals and the covenants and promises
hereinafter contained, and for good and valuable consideration, the sufficiency and
receipt of which are hereby acknowledged, the parties hereto agree as follows:
1. "Exhibit B" — Scope and Schedule of Services is amended to include the additional
services detailed in Exhibit B attached to this Amendment No. 1 and incorporated
herein by this reference.
2. Section 5 Compensation is amended to read as follows:
5. Compensation. Vendor shall receive compensation for services rendered under
this Agreement at the rates and schedule set forth in the attached Exhibit "C" but in no
event shall Vendor's compensation exceed Twenty -One Thousand Seven Hundred
Dollars ($21, 700) for the Term of the agreement without written amendment.
In all other respects, the original Agreement shall remain in effect.

Box of Kittens will collaborate with the City of La Quinta to produce one 3-4 minute evergreen
Economic Development video. Designed to engage potential developers, the video will present
a compelling narrative that highlights La Quinta's unique strengths and long-term vision.
The piece will feature interviews with select local business owners, identified
complemented by dynamic graphic factoids. Together, these elements will position
a progressive, vibrant, and highly desirable place to invest and grow.

ABOUT BOX OF KITTENS
Anndee Laskoe is an award -winning multi -media journalist with experience in creative concept development, digital content creation, video production, public relations,
and social media management. She has developed and managed cross -platform creative strategies for a wide variety of businesses, brands, destination marketing
organizations, and municipal clients. Anndee is an Emmy Award recipient with a journalism degree from the Annenberg School of Communications at USC.
Ian Hughes is an Emmy Award winning editor and director/designer with decades of experience in cinematography, editing, animation, special effects, sound design,
web development and graphic design. He has worked on a multitude of commercial and digital projects for a wide range of clients from non -profits to magazines and
industrial manufacturing to country clubs. Ian is a proven and trusted resource in building consistent and elevated creative content for brands.
Together Anndee and Ian run Box of Kittens, a boutique production house, based in the Coachella Valley, where they both grew up. They have won three Emmy
Awards, earned four additional Emmy nominations and countless local and regional Ad Federation Awards for their work. Their documentary film, "Leading the Way"
was an official selection at the 2024 Palm Springs International ShortFest.
