MINUTES
TUESDAY, JANUARY 20, 2026
CALL TO ORDER
A regular quarterly meeting of the La Quinta Housing Authority was called to order at 5:57
p.m. by Chair McGarrey.
PRESENT: Authority Members: Evans, Fitzpatrick, Pena, Sanchez, and Chair McGarrey
ABSENT: None
VERBAL ANNOUNCEMENT — AB 23 was made by the Authority Secretary
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Authority Member Fitzpatrick led the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance, which was
conducted jointly with the concurrent Council meeting.
PUBLIC COMMENT ON MATTERS NOT ON THE AGENDA — None
CONFIRMATION OF AGENDA — Confirmed
CONSENT CALENDAR
1. APPROVE HOUSING AUTHORITY SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES DATED
DECEMBER 2, 205
2. AWARD CONTRACT TO LNL PROPERTY SERVICES FOR THE DUNE PALMS
MOBILE ESTATES POOL ABANDONMENT PROJECT NO. 2025-09
MOTION — A motion was made and seconded by Authority Members Pena/Evans to
approve the Consent Calendar as presented. Motion passed unanimously.
BUSINESS SESSION
1. APPOINT HOUSING AUTHORITY CHAIRPERSON AND VICE -CHAIRPERSON
FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2026
The Authority waived presentation of the staff report, which is on file in the Clerk's Office.
MOTION — A motion was made and seconded by Authority Members Evans/Fitzpatrick to
appoint Housing Authority Members Sanchez and Pena to serve as Chairperson and
Vice -Chairperson, respectively, for calendar year 2026. Motion passed unanimously.

2. RECEIVE AND FILE FISCAL YEAR 2024/25 HOUSING AUTHORITY YEAR-
END BUDGET REPORT
The Authority waived presentation of the staff report, which is on file in the Clerk's Office.
MOTION — A motion was made and seconded by Authority Members Pena/Sanchez to
receive and file fiscal year 2024/25 Housing Authority Year -End Budget report as
presented. Motion passed unanimously.
STUDY SESSION — None
DEPARTMENTAL REPORTS
1. WATERCOLORS SENIOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT —
PROGRAM STRUCTURE AND OPERATIONS OVERVIEW
The Authority waived presentation of the departmental report, which is on file in the
Clerk's Office.
The Authority thanked staff for the detailed report outlining the Watercolors senior
affordable housing program structure and operations.
HOUSING AUTHORITY MEMBERS' ITEMS — None
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, it was moved and seconded by Authority Members
Pena/Sanchez to adjourn at 6:00 p.m. Motion passed unanimously.
