RP , ; lives next door to the LQ resort and is reporting that
the resort recently renovated palm tree lot behind her home to be an event venue.
They removed the palm trees, installed turf and built bathrooms, and now use that
space to host luncheons, weddings, etc. Stated music is loud with a lof of bass during
the day and during the night, and she has had to go over to ask them to turn it
down/off.

I met with RP at her residence adjacent to Grove Plaza, where her
property is part of a circle of residences surrounding the plaza. A wide path with a low
hedge provides open access between her property and Grove Plaza, which now hosts
outdoor events with amplified music. reported that loud bass and music have
been disturbing the residents, occurring three times last week.
While there, I took photographs of the plaza and its entrance from the residences.
Another resident, , inquired about submitting a complaint to the City and expressed
her intent to visit City Hall to register her concerns. Both and mentioned that
additional residents are also planning to submit complaints.
I informed and that I have coordinated with Planning, which will reach out to
the plaza’s general manager to discuss potential resolutions. They were receptive to
the City’s planned actions and information-gathering efforts.

11/12/2024 3:37 pm 0.25 RP- is reporting loud noise that was happening on Saturday
November 9th from 6pm to 10pm. She mentioned it must of been a weeding or party
loud DJ music.

11/14/2024 9:18 am 0.25 Cheri from planning came over and notified me that she spoke with the manager at the
La Quinta Resort and that last weekend they had a pre-wedding dinner and the group
got out of hand. He said going forward he will monitor noise levels and has reached
out to the surrounding neighbors. They all have his phone number if they have a
complaint. Cheri said that their goal is to be self governing and that we would not need
to be involved. She provided him with the noise ordinance and that I could close the
case as resolved.
