Dear Mr. Ortiz:
On October 18, 2022, the La Quinta City Council awarded a contract in the amount of
$21,626,759.60 to construct the Dune Palms Road Bridge Improvements Project No.
2011-05, Federal Project No. BRNBIL (537) (Base Bid and Additive Alternates A, B, & C) to
your firm. Enclosed please find one (1) original set of contract documents for signature by
the principal(s) of your firm. Please execute the set of documents and return them to the
City along with the bonds, City business license, and certificate of insurance with the City
named as Additionally Insured. A fully executed set of documents will be forwarded to you
upon final execution by the City.
It is important that you contact Joseph Smith or John Buckley with TY Lin, the City’s
construction management company, to schedule a preconstruction conference. They can
be reached at (619) 908-3306 or joseph.smith@tylin.com and (619) 961-8849 or
john.buckley@tylin.com. Please order any long-time lead items A.S.A.P. to help avoid
delays. Please advise the City A.S.A.P of any potential delivery delays or schedule conflicts.
