Per our conversation, please accept the bid alternates on behalf of CVWD with the exception of add alternate D, number 152 Relocation of air vac assembly. This work will be done by district
forces. Also, the attached utility agreement for sewer will need to be amended as the bids exceed the estimate of $37,500 by more than 125%. Please have this agreement updated and we
can rout for approval.

We have sent over the question to Ortiz regarding the manhole. Caltrans has approved them and we are going to move forward with he award letter as soon as possible. With the exception
of bid item 150 and 152, is CVWD ok with the other additive alternates?

Hi Pat,
To follow up our conversation: Caltrans has approved the Good Faith Effort today so we are now able to move forward with the award.
We did receive a question from the water agency CVWD on bid item 150 “Reconstruct Sewer Manhole”. Is there a reason this item and the same work item in the base bid, item 79, is different?
There is a chance that CVWD will request that item 150 is not awarded.
We understand that you are working to send your subs contracts prior to the end of the week to keep within the 60 days for opening of bids. In case it helps, please note that although
we will send the contract to be executed with the award letter, it is the award letter that the bid documents specify holds the pricing (1110-9, section 26).
Please send over the rough schedule with your executed contract or sooner. Do you have an anticipated start you are shooting for?
