Based on analysis of the documents submitted, Underground Classifications of "Potentially Gassy" will be assigned to the Cast in Drilled Hole (CIDH) Pile Foundations identified on your submittal. Please retain copies for your records and deliver true and correct copies of the Classification to the contractor(s) engaged in the work (for posting at the jobsite). A Pre -job Conference with the Division is required prior to commencing any activity associated with construction of tunnel. If you have any questions, please contact this office. The Division shall be notified if sufficient quantities of flammable gas or vapors have been encountered underground. Classifications are based on the California Labor Code Part 9, Tunnel Safety Orders and Mine Safety Orders. *** SPECIAL CONDITIONS *** Cast in Drilled Hole (CIDH) Pile Foundation- Four (4) 60-inch diameter CIDH piles by estimated 103-feet deep, for the southern pier of the new bridge crossing the Coachella Valley Stormwater Channel about 800-feet north of the intersection of Dune Palms Road and Highway 111 in City of La Quinta, Riverside County.
