A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING
CERTAIN TEMPORARY NO-PARKING ZONES ON
JEFFERSON STREET, 54TH AVENUE, MADISON
STREET DURING A SPECIAL EVENT TO BE HELD
JANUARY 14, 1987, THROUGH JANUARY 18, 1987,
INCLUSIVE
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of La Quinta that
pursuant to Section 22507 of the California Vehicle Code, Section
12.32.010 of the La Quinta Municipal Code, the following temporary
no-parking zones hereby are established, to be effective during the
period of a special event to be held January 14, 1987, through
January 18, 1987 inclusive:
1. Jefferson Street, South from the All American
Canal, including P.G.A. Boulevard to its
termination.
2. 54th Avenue, East from the All American Canal to
Madison Street.
3. Madison Street, South to the City limits.
4. All other streets deemed necessary by the Chief
of Police of the City of La Quinta.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the above parking prohibitions shall
be in effect at all times during the day or night when authorized
signs are in place giving notice thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that pursuant to Section 22651 of the
California Vehicle Code and Subsection n) of said Section 22651, the
removal and **tow away" of vehicles parked or left standing in
violation of the above parking prohibitions, hereby is authorized,
provided that signs shall have been posted giving notice of the
removal.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF LA QUINTA,
CALIFORNIA, ANNOUNCING FINDINGS
AND CONFIRMING THE ENVIRONMENTAL
ANALYSIS FOR THE SENIOR CENTER AND
CIVIC CENTER LAND ACQUISITION.
CASE NO. EA 87-073
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of La Quinta,
California, did, on the 5th day of January, 1988, hold a
a) duly-noticed public meeting to consider the environmental
ID analysis; and,
WHEREAS, said land acquisition environmental review
has complied with the requirements of The Rules to Implement the
California Environmental Quality Act of 1970" County of
Riverside, Resolution No. 82-213, adopted by reference in City of
La Quinta Ordinance No. 5), in that the Planning Director has
determined after initial study Environmental Assessment No.
87-073) that the project will not have a significant adverse
impact on the environment and that a Negative Declaration should
be filed; and,
WHEREAS, at said Public Meeting, upon hearing and
considering all testimony and arguments, if any, of all
interested persons desiring to be heard, said City Council did
find the following facts to justify the adoption of the Negative
Declaration:
1. That the subject site is physically suitable for
acquisition and development.
2. That the land acquisition is not likely to cause
substantial environmental damage or injury to fish or
wildlife or their habitat.
3. That the land acquisition is not likely to cause
serious public health problems.
4. That the land acquisition is consistent with the
goals, policies, and intent of the La Quinta General
Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of La Quinta, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct and
constitute the findings of the Council in this case;

2. That it does hereby confirm the conclusion of
Environmental Assessment No. 87-073, in that the land
acquisition will not result in a significant adverse
impact on the environment, and that a Negative
Declaration is appropriate for filing.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of
the La Quinta City Council, held on this 5th day of
JANUARY 1988, by the following vote, to wit:
