Valdez, Sabrina / Intern AgrmtINTERNSHIP AGREEMENT
1. The intern, Sabrina Valdez, will work under the direct supervision of Chris Escobedo, an
employee of the City of La Quinta.
2. The internship will begin on June 16, 2016 and end upon the completion of 100 hours.
3. The intern will work a minimum of 10 hours per week.
4. The scheduled hours for The Intern will be as follows:

5. The Intern will be paid during the period of the internship. If the intern is paid, pay will be
made at the rate of $500.00 upon the successful completion of 100 hours.
6. It is understood that The Internship is temporary and the Employer is under no obligation
to continue The Internship or make any offer of permanent employment following the
last day of employment indicated above.
7. It is understood that the City is a public agency and conducts its business with full
transparency. In working in the City, the Intern may encounter sensitive information and
confidentiality of such information is required in accordance with the law.
The employer would like the intern to achieve the following goals through this internship
experience: to gain insight in functions and analyses of a government organization; assist in
the daily operations of information technology; and assist City staff in a variety of other
projects on an as needed basis.
The agreed upon internship job duties are: assist (intermittently) the mentor with onsite
duties and prepare summaries of project progress, and analyze current operations the
department is working on.
