A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LA QUINTA DECLARING CERTAIN PROPERTY TO BE
A PUBLIC NUISANCE AND ORDERING THE ABATEMENT
THEREOF AT 51-275 CALLE QUINTO
WHEREAS, Chapter 11.72 of the La Quinta Municipal Code
declares it a public nuisance to maintain premises in such a
manner that any of certain specified conditions are found to exist
thereon; and
WHEREAS, said Chapter 11.72 provides for the abatement of
said property nuisance and said chapter further provides a
procedure for said abatement; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with said abatement procedures, the
Building and Safety Director as agent of the City Manager, has
determined that a public nuisance exists on the following
described premises, and has given the notice required by law, and
WHEREAS, on July 2, 1991 at a regular meeting, the City
Council conducted a hearing to consider all relevant evidence,
objections or protests, to determine whether the premises, or any
part thereof, as maintained constitutes a public nuisance.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of La Quinta
does hereby RESOLVE as follows:
1. The City Council hereby finds, determines, and declares
that the following premises is being maintained in the following
condition, and thereby constitutes a public nuisance.

The existing structure is in a state of disrepair and the property
owner has made only a superficial effort to comply with the City's
request concerning the unsafe conditions of the structure.
2. The City Council hereby orders the demolition of the
above mentioned dwelling after 30 days provided:
A solution acceptable to City Staff has not been agreed
to, in writing, by the property owner; and
That the property has not been secured and out-side
cleaned-up within 7 days.

3. If the provisions of Section 2 have not bee met, the City
Council orders the demolition of the above mentioned dwelling in
the following manner:
All structures, including foundations therefore, shall be
demolished with materials disposed of in a legal manner.
All utility connections shall be disconnected and removed
from the premises.
The existing private sewage disposal system shall be
removed and/or abandoned in a manner which complies with
the Uniform plumbing Code.
4. The Building and Safety Director is hereby directed to
mail a copy of this Resolution to the owners of said property.
