RESOLUTION NO. 91-82
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE ANNEXATION
OF CERTAIN UNHABITATED CONTIGUOUS TERRITORY TO
THE CITY OF LA QUINTA, KNOWN AS ANNEXATION #6.
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of
Riverside adopted its Resolution No. 105-91 on October 24, 1991, making
determinations and approving the proposed annexation to the City of La Quinta of
territory described in Exhibit A" attached hereto and by this reference incorporated
herein; and
WHEREAS, the terms and conditions of annexation as approved by the
Local Agency Formation Commission are as follows:
1. The City of La Quinta shall enter into an agreement with the
County of Riverside for the maintenance of the full length of
Darby Road; and
WHEREAS, the reasons for this annexation are to provide more municipal
services to the area and the owners of land within the territory have given written
consent to the annexation; and
WHEREAS, the regular county assessment roll is utilized by this City; and
WHEREAS, the territory will not be taxed for existing general bonded
indebtedness of this City; and
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission has authorized this
Council to approve this annexation without notice and hearing and without an
election.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of La Quinta hereby orders the territory described in Exhibit A" annexed, and directs
the City Clerk of the City of La Quinta to transmit a certified copy of this resolution
with applicable fees required by Section 54902.5 of the Government Code to the
executive office of the Local Agency Formation Commission of Riverside County.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the La
Quinta City Council, held on this 5th day of November, 1991 by the following vote,
to wit:
