A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA,
ADOPTING A FEE SCHEDULE FOR USE OF THE LA QUINTA
SENIOR CENTER FACILITY
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of La Quinta recognizes the benefit to the
community that is provided by efficient and effective scheduling and maintenance of Senior
Center facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to regulate use fees and policies governing Senior
Center Facilities and to provide guidelines to City Staff to monitor scheduling and use of
facilities, ensuring maintenance and use policies are enforced; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved a policy regulating the use of the Senior
Center Facility.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of La Quinta,
California, as follows:
SECTION 1: The fees for use shall be established annually in the budget to cover the full
cost of the use of the facility, including, but not limited to overtime staff costs, audio-visual
equipment and a per kilowatt hour cost for electricity. The fees for Fiscal Year 1995/96 shall be
as delineated in Exhibit A" and shall be in full force and effect on and after February 7, 1995.

vote:

F SENIOR CENTER FACILITY USE
The City of La Quinta shall charge a fee for use of said facility in an amount
to reco ver full costs for use of the facility *ersonnel, equipment, utilities, etc.)
The hourly rate shall be reviewed for possible modification by the City Council
dunng the City 5 annual budget review process.
1. DEPOSIT: The City may withhold all, or a portion of the deposit if
cleanup is required. The deposit will be established based on the following
uses:

A 50% surcharge on hourly fees will be applied to all non-residents and organizations not based in La

4. EXEMPTIONS
Fundraising activities sponsored by *!The Friends of the La Quinta Senior Center"
for the purpose of generating funds to enhance the Senior Center facility or progranuning
at the facility, shall be exempt from deposits and fees.
