CC Resolution 1996-006^J RESOLUTION 96-6 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA ADOPTING PROPOSALS, REPROGRAMMING FUNDS, AND A*ORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT APPLICATIONS FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT YEAR 22 FUNDS. WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant Year 22 win be approximately $137,000 to begin July 1,1996; and WHEREAS, the City of La Quinta must submit to the Riverside County Economic Development Agency project applications; and WHEREAS, a public notice was published on January 12, 1996, announcing the availability of funds, requesting proposals, and public hearing dates; and WHEREAS, the merits of all proposals were openly discussed and considered, and WHEREAS, by a majority vote of the City Council of the City of La Quinta, California, the following proposal(s), or reprogramming(s), were selected. m m 1. Membership Fee Waiveri Boys & Girls Club of $ 30,000 Reduction Program the Coachella Valleyl La Quinta Unit 2. Public Facility Improvements City of La Quinta $107,000 on La Fonda NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of La Quinta as follows: 1. That the City of La Quinta does hereby select the above named project(s) or reprogramming(s), as the Year 22 Community Development Block Grant Entitlement funded activity. That the City Council hereby directs the City Manager to prepare and subinit the designated applications to the Riverside County Economic Development Agency in a timely fashion proposing the named activities and use of flinds. 3. If there is a shortfall in funding, the City Council directs the City Manager to request the County to increase the City's public service cap in order to fully fund public service approved applications.
