Special meeting ofthe La Quinta City Council was held in conjunction with the La Quinta Chamber
of Commerce' Annual Roundtable Business Forum at the La Quinta HoteL
PRESENT: Council Members Bangerter, Sniff? Mayor Pena
ABSENT: Council Members Cathcart, Perkins
The City Manager, City Clerk and all Department Directors began the Roundtable Forum by
presenting a brief outline of the functions and current projects of their respective departments.
The Council and Department Directors then fielded a variety of questions from the audience. A few
of the questions fielded related to the following:
* City's Economic Development Plan
* Completion of Phase VI of the Cove Improvement Project
* Bridge on Washington Street South of Avenue 50
* Synchronization of Signals on Washington Street
* Schedule for Washington/Highway 111 Improvements
* Status of One-Way Streets Around the Park
* Status of Indian Wells' Reconsideration of Re-Opening of Miles Avenue
* Extension of Adams to Miles Avenue
* Empty Store Fronts in the Von's Shopping Center
The meeting was adjourned with no action being taken.
