A RESOLUTION OF THE LA QUINTA REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
APPROVING THE FISCAL YEAR 1995-96
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Capital Improvement Program CIP) is a five 5) year planning
instrument used by the City to identify capital improvements needs and to coordinate financing
and timing of those needs in a manner that maximizes the return to the public; and
WHEREAS, the CIP is a statement of the City's goals, objectives and priorities
for a five 5) year Capital Improvement Program and the financial commitments required to
accomplish those objectives; and
WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year 1995-06 CIP proposes approximately $9,704,551 in
improvement projects and $21,591,900 of unfunded, deferred improvement projects over the five
5) year period, commencing on July 1, 1995 and ending June 30, 2000; and
WHEREAS, the first year of the CIP, called the capital budget, proposes
$2,336,429 in improvements, as shown in Exhibit 1, heretofore made a part of this resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Redevelopment Agency of the
City of La Quinta does hereby approve the capital budget, including the appropriation of funds,
as shown in Exhibit 1, heretofore made a part of this resolution; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Redevelopment Agency for the City of
La Quinta authorizes the inclusion of said capital budget into the Fiscal Year 1995-96 operating
budget, which appropriates funds for specific facilities, equipment and improvements.
