77643 Temecula (Calle) DPR 523L (09/2013) Identifier: CRM TECH 1885-158 Date Constructed: 1950 UTM Zone: 11S, 564277 mE; 3723669 mN Neighborhood: The Cove Tract: Santa Carmelita Unit No 28; Recorded May 31, 1939, MB 19/60 Owner and Address: Natalie M Castro; 78365 Highway 111 # 220, La Quinta CA 92253 Updated Description: The subject property was constructed in 1950 in the La Quinta Cove neighborhood. CRM Tech described the property as a Modern style single-family residence in 2006. It is a Tract Ranch style residential property. The residence has a low- pitched side-gable roof with open eaves. Exterior walls are clad in stucco with vertical wood siding. The residence has an asymmetrical facade with a slightly recessed entry with an extended eave porch . At the front elevation there is one multi-pane casement window, one large fixed window, and one fixed multi-pane window. The residence has an attached carport under the main roof supported by three narrow posts. There does not appear to have been any significant alterations to the residence since the previous survey. Updated Significance: A prior survey evaluated the property as status code 5D1 - contributor to a district that is listed or designated locally. The current survey found that the dwelling was constructed within the proposed La Quinta Cove Historic District during the period of significance, but the architectural style was not consistent with the Spanish Revival style associated with early development within the Cove between 1934 and 1950. The dwelling is associated with the theme of Residential Development (1934- 1970s), but it does not possess individual documented significance in relation to this theme. The 2022 evaluation is that the property should instead be assigned a 6Z status code: Found ineligible for NRHP, CRHR or Local Register through survey evaluation. The dwelling has not been found individually eligible under NRHP/CRHR/Local Criterion A/1/B, as it has not been associated with significant events or patterns of events in local, regional, state, or national history; not individually eligible under Criterion B/2/B, as it has not been identified as having an association with an important person; not individually eligible under Criterion C/3/C, as it does not embody the distinctive characteristics of a type, period, or method of construction; and not individually eligible under Criterion D/4/D, as further study of the dwelling would not appear to yield information which could be considered important in local, regional, state, or national history. Additionally, the property was not found to be individually eligible under Local Register Criterion A, as it was not found to exemplify a special element of the City of La Quinta. As the dwelling has not been substantially altered, this dwelling maintains integrity from the historic period.
