Updated Description: The 52162 Eisenhower Drive residence was constructed in 1961 in the La Quinta Cove. The one story single
family residence was constructed in the Ranch style. The residence has a low pitched hip roof clad in composition shingles with open
eaves. The exterior was clad in stucco. The residence has a recessed main entrance and an attached garage. Since the previous
survey, the residence has been painted and new vinyl sliding glass windows have replaced steel casement windows. There does not
appear to have been any significant alterations to the subject property.
Updated Significance: A prior survey evaluated the property as status code 6Z - found ineligible for NRHP, CRHR, and Local
Register designation. The current survey found that the dwelling is associated with the theme of Residential Development (1934-
1970s), but it does not possess individual documented significance in relation to this theme. While the dwelling is located within the
proposed La Quinta Cove Historic District, it is a non-contributor due to its architectural style and date of construction.
The dwelling has not been found individually eligible under NRHP/CRHR/Local Criterion A/1/B, as it has not been associated with
significant events or patterns of events in local, regional, state, or national history; not individually eligible Criterion B/2/B, as it has
not been identified as having an association with an important person; not individually eligible under Criterion C/3/C, as it does not
embody the distinctive characteristics of a type, period, or method of construction; and not individually eligible under Criterion
D/4/D, as further study of the dwelling would not appear to yield information which could be considered important in local, regional,
state, or national history. Additionally, the property was not found to be individually eligible under Local Register Criterion A, as it
was not found to exemplify a special element of the City of La Quinta. As the dwelling has not been substantially altered, this
dwelling maintains integrity from the historic period.

setting, and boundaries) This one-story, Ranch-style single-family residence faces
west from the east side of Eisenhower Drive. The wood-framed, irregularly
shaped residence is topped with a low-pitched, simple hip roof covered with
gray composition shingles, and wide, open eaves shelter walls sheathed in
stucco. Fenestration consists of aluminum-framed sliding windows, and the
entrance is slightly recessed on the asymmetrical façade. A secondary hip
roof tops a one-car, attached garage on the right.
