CC Resolution 2002-001 RESOLUTION NO. 2002-01
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA QUINTA,
CALIFORNIA ACCEPTING COMPLIMENTARY PASSES FOR THE BOB
HOPE CHRYSLER CLASSIC GOLF TOURNAMENT
WHEREAS, it is anticipated that the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic may generously
donate to the City, a gift of complimentary passes for the 2002 Bob Hope Chrysler
Classic golf tournament to be held January 14-20, 2002 in the Coachella Valley
including locations within La Quinta; and
WHEREAS, it is anticipated that the gifts may be donated to the City and its
personnel and not be given to or limited to the use of any particular employee or
official; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to accept the donation and to
direct the City Manager to control distribution of the tournament passes.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of La Quinta does hereby
RESOLVE as follows:
1. The City of La Quinta hereby accepts the anticipated donation of
complimentary passes for the 2002 Bob Hope Chrysler Classic golf
tournament.
2. The City Manager is hereby directed to control distribution of said
tournament passes on a first-come, first-serve basis.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 3rd day of January, 2002 by the
following vote:
