A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA QUINTA,
CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A CASH DONATION FROM NICKERSON AND
ASSOCIATES FOR THE EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION BANQUET
WHEREAS, on November 23, 2002, Nickerson and Associates generously made
a cash donation of $300.00 to the City for the Employee Recognition Banquet to be
held December 14, 2002, at the La Quinta Mountain and Dunes Club House in La
Quinta, California; and,
WHEREAS, the gift was donated to the City and its personnel and was not given
to or limited to the use of any particular employee or official; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to accept the donation and to
direct the City Manager to control distribution of the donation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
La Quinta, California, as follows:
1. The City of La Quinta hereby accepts the cash donation of
$300.00.
2. The City Manager is hereby directed to control distribution of said
cash donation.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the La Quinta City
Council held on this 3`d day of December, 2002 by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Henderson, Perkins, Sniff, Mayor Adolph
NOES: None
ABSENT: One Vacancy
ABSTAIN: None
