A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA ACCEPTING A CASH DONATION
WHEREAS, on April 7, 2003, Mr. Duane Knapp generously donated $1,000 for
use by the La Quinta Police Department; and
WHEREAS, money was donated to the City of La Quinta and was not given to
or limited to the use of any particular employee or official; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of La Quinta to accept the
donation to defer some of the costs associated with operating the Community Oriented
Policing Office.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of La Quinta does hereby
RESOLVE as follows'
1.The City of La Quinta hereby accepts the donation of $1,000 from
Mr. Duane Knapp.
2. The City Manager is hereby directed to utilize the funds to defer
some of the costs associated with opening the Community
Oriented Policing Office.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the La Quinta City
Council held this 15th day of April, 2003, by the following vote'
AYES: Council Members Henderson, Osborne, Perkins, Sniff, Mayor Adolph
