CC Resolution 2017-051RESOLUTION NO. 2017 - 051 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING CERTAIN CITY REPRESENTATIVES TO EXECUTE AND ENDORSE RIGHT OF WAY CERTIFICATIONS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF LA QUINTA FOR STATE AND FEDERALLY FUNDED PROJECTS WHEREAS, on August 3, 2010, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2010- 054, authorizing the Public Works Director to execute and endorse right-of-way certifications on behalf of the City of La Quinta; and WHEREAS, the City of La Quinta is eligible to receive state funding for certain transportation projects through the California Department of Transportation; and WHEREAS, the City of La Quinta is eligible to receive federal funding for certain transportation projects through the California Department of Transportation; and WHEREAS, the City of La Quinta wishes to supersede Resolution No. 2010-054 to authorize the City Manager, or designee, to execute right-of-way certifications on behalf of the City of La Quinta. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of La Quinta, California, as follows: SECTION 1. The City of La Quinta City Manager, or designee, is hereby delegated the authority to execute and endorse right-of-way certifications for state or federally sponsored projects on behalf of the City of La Quinta. SECTION 2. Resolution No. 2010-054 is hereby superseded. SECTION 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
