A special meeting of the La Quinta Financing Authority was called to order by
Chairman Adolph.
PRESENT: Board Members Henderson, Osborne, Perkins, Sniff,
Chairman Adolph
ABSENT: None
PUBLIC COMMENT - None
Beverly Montgomery, representing. the Soroptimist of La Quinta, asked. if their
funding request for rental of the Senior Center facility had been approved in the
budget. She explained they need to include the meeting place and times in their
regional calendar.
Legal Counsel Jenson noted this is not a Financing Authority issue.
r Board Member Henderson stated she understood the decision in the City Council
[ meeting was to allow the organization to apply for a Community Services Grant.
Community Services Director Horvitz advised the organization's Facility Use Permit
has expired and they will have to apply for a grant in August.
Ms. Jenson explained the City Council would need to reconvene if there's a desire
to add the item to the agenda, and advised of the findings necessary to add it as
an emergency item.
Ms. Horvitz no ed some organizations include the time and meeting place in their
calendars and ake adjustments later if necessary.

BUSINESS SESSION
1 . CONSIDERATION OF FISCAL YEAR 2004/2005 PRELIMINARY BUDGET.
There were no changes to the staff report as submitted and on file in the
City Clerk's Office.
MOTION - It was moved by Board Members Sniff/Osborne to approve the
Fiscal year 2004/2005 Preliminary Budget as modified, and direct staff to
prepare a Fiscal year 2004/2005 Final Budget for the July 20, 2004
Financing Authority meeting. Motion carried unanimously.
CHAIR AND BOARD MEMBERS' ITEMS - None
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, it was moved by Board Members Sniff/Osborne to
adjourn. Motion carried unanimously.
