RESOLUTION NO. 2005-068
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LA QUINT A, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF
A GRANT APPLICATION FOR A 2005 TRANSPORTATION
ENHANCEMENT GRANT THROUGH THE RIVERSIDE
COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION FOR A
JEFFERSON STREET BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Transportation Enhancement Program provides funds for
Landscaping and Other Scenic Beautification for transportation facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City of La Quinta has eligible transportation facilities in need
of landscaping and other scenic beautification.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
La Quinta, California, as follows:
1 . That the City Council supports submission of this grant application;
and
2. That matching funds are available and have been identified in the
Fiscal Year 2005/2006 City of La Quinta budget.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the La Quinta
City Council held on this 6th day of September, 2005, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Henderson, Osborne, Sniff, Mayor Adolph
NOES: None
ABSENT: Council Member Perkins
ABSTAIN: None
