San Bernardino, CA 92401 SUBJECT: MINOR USE PERMIT 97-023 Dear Mr. Babb: This letter is to report that the Community Development Department has approved your request to have a temporary construction security trailer on site for the Topaz project (Tract 23935), subject to the following conditions: 1. The temporary construction security trailer can remain on-site for a 60 -day period, to expire on October 28, 1997. However, an extension of the 60 -day period may be made in writing to the Community Development Department before expiration. The Community Development Director may, after reviewing the facts, extend the use of the trailer for another 60 -day period. 2. Use of the trailer shall be for 24 hours and shall be allowed to move about the project site as work progresses for the purpose of project security. The trailer is permitted to be parked on the street, within the construction zone, and not on a street with through traffic. 3. The construction security trailer shall be self-contained and include bathroom and lavatory facilities for workers or employees unless otherwise determined by the Building and Safety Director (i.e., freestanding portable toilets, etc.). Water and electrical hookups are permitted, however, no sewage hookup or dumping on site is permitted. 4. Install one 2AIOBC fire extinguisher inside the construction security trailer by the exit door, and provide a "Door to remain open during business hours" sign above the exit door. No lighting is allowed unless approved by this Department prior to on-site installation. Should security lighting be required for the project, all light fixtures shall be hooded to prevent light glare from being cast onto adjacent properties or affecting the vision of passing motorists. Tamper resistant light fixture covers are required to reduce vandalism. 7. Mounted close to the front door shall be a written ntice informing emergency personnel of your 24-hour emergency phone number that they can call in case problems arise that need your prompt attention (i.e., minimum 1 "high letters). 8. The site shall be left free of debris at completion of the project improvements. 9.
