I suspect it was not refunded because in error, it was not recorded in the developer deposit account but in Comm Dev Sales of Maps & Publ. I searched thru all of Comm Dev accounts over a period of years looking for the refund without success. Per my discussion with Monika, there is nothing in the MUP 99-164 folder that suggests this deposit should not be refunded to the customer. In discussing with John, I'll forward all backup I have regarding this matter to Comm Dev and it will be their decision as to whether this $1,000.00 is to be refunded. In regards to Request #2 Sales Office Removal Deposit, MUP 99-194, 1 did find a developer deposit record that showed the $1,000.00 deposit on 8/12/99, however, on 6/27/01 a journal entry was recorded to reclass this amount to a revenue account. With that said, I do not believe there is justification to refund this deposit. There is no detail available because in accordance with our records retention policy, the records from this fiscal year have already been destroyed so I do not know the reason for the reclass...... just that is was done.
