This is a violation since approval is required prior to their installation. However, this department will approve this request provided they are properly placed and modified. The Municipal Code allows eight flags per tract. In your case you have two adjacent tracts (25691 and 29623) which allows 16 flags provided a maximum of eight flags are placed on each tract. Presently, the majority of the flags are on Tract 29623. Additionally, logos, text or other advertising is not permitted on the flags. This request is hereby approved subject to the following conditions: 1. Approval shall comply with all requirements of Municipal Code Section 9.60.250(C.) regarding display of subdivision flags (attached). 2. A maximum of eight flags shall be placed on this tract (Tract 29623). All additional flags shall be moved to Tract 25691 which has approval to display a maximum of eight flags (MUP 2000-209). 3. The flags shall be a maximum of 18 square feet in size and on the perimeter of the project and 12 square feet in the interior of the project. 4. Pole heights shall be a maximum of 20 feet in height on the perimeter and 16 feet high on the interior of the project with the pole diameter rigid enough to keep the poles from swaying excessively. 5. This approval is valid until April 6, 2001, provided the existing flags are brought into conformance with this approval no later than October 27, 2000.
