Dear Mrs. Carrasco:
The Community Development Department has approved your request for a Minor Use
Permit to set up a flower stand for four days at La Quinta Car Wash. This approval
is granted under Section 9.100.1 10 of the La Quinta Zoning Code (Outdoor Vendors),
and is subject to the following conditions:
1 . The vending operation is approved for May 9t'' to May 12t'', 2002, from 8:00
a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
2. No temporary structures (e.g. tents exceeding 200 square feet and/or canopies
exceeding 400 square feet) are approved for this vendor.
3. Roadways and traffic aisles to structures and activities in and around the area
shall be maintained accessible to emergency vehicles at all times.
4. All temporary electrical wiring, if any, used for the activity shall be secured to
prevent physical hazards to the general public.
5. No supplementary entertainment, loudspeakers or other amplified voice or music
is permitted as part of this permit.
6. The serving of any food or alcohol beverages at the flower stand is prohibited.
7. By establishment of this vending activity, the applicant agrees to indemnify,
defend and hold harmless the City of La Quinta in the event of any legal claim
or litigation arising out of the City's approval of this permit. The City of La
Quinta shall have the right to select its defense counsel at its sole discretion.

8. The City reserves the right to add conditions to this permit to mitigate any
problems that may arise not previously addressed herein.
