This approval requires compliance with Section 9.60.190 (Child Care Facilities) of the City of La Quinta Municipal Code. The Conditions of Approval are attached. You must also obtain the appropriate license from the State of California, Department of Social Services, Community Licensing Division. Per our discussion, you were in the process of having the address changed on your license and also requesting a change from a small to a large day care facility. This permit for a large child care facility is for property at 52-845 Avenida Alvarado serving nine to fourteen children. 2. The child care facility shall not be located within 500 feet of any other child care facility. 3. All outdoor play areas shall be fully enclosed by a minimum five-foot high fence/wall. No such play areas shall be provided where fences/walls are less than five feet in height. 4. Outdoor activities shall be limited between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. 5. Obtain the appropriate license from the State of California, Department of Social Services, Community Licensing Division, a copy of which shall be submitted to the Community Development Department for the file. 6. Should the location of the facility change the applicant is required to submit another application and appropriate fee for processing of a new Minor Use Permit. 7. No signs are permitted on the premises advertising the child care facility.
