This approval authorizes you to conduct the event from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., pursuant to compliance with all conditions of this letter; however, please be aware that this approval only constitutes an allowance to use the Civic Center Campus area for this event; you MUST obtain any permits as may be required below in order to physically set up this event. This approval is granted under Section 9.060.170 of the La Quinta Zoning Code, and is subject to the following conditions: Permits for any temporary structures (e.g. tents exceeding 200 square feet and/or canopies exceeding 400 square feet) shall be obtained. Prior to the event set-up, please contact the La Quinta Building and Safety Department and Riverside County Fire Safety at 863-8886, Planning and Engineering, for any additional requirements of the Fire Marshal. 2. The event shall comply with all requirements, fees, etc. of the City's Community Services Department for the use of the Civic Center Site. Parking monitors and adequate traffic control shall be provided, to the extent determined by the City's Community Services and Public Works Departments. 3. This event area is a public area and, as such, general public access may not be denied or restricted in any manner that extends beyond the limits of this event. 4. Portable generators, if used, shall be shielded to prevent accidental contact with guests. Extension cords shall be ground -secured to prevent tripping. Any lighting shall be directed away from surrounding residential properties. No spot or searchlights are permitted. 5. Roadways/traffic aisles to structures and activities in and around the event will be maintained accessible to emergency vehicles at all times. 6. All temporary electrical wiring to any concession/vendor spaces shall be secured to prevent physical hazards to the public and participants. Wiring/cords shall not be subjected to environmental or physical damage. 7. Temporary trash receptacles shall be provided in and around the event area and adjacent parking areas to the east and west. The area shall be left free of debris after the event. All refuse shall be deposited in a dumpster, located behind the La Quinta Senior Center. B'Egli,.21 8. ADA -compliant portable restrooms shall be provided if required by the Building and Safety Department. These facilities shall be removed within 24 hours of the event closing. 9. No supplementary entertainment is permitted as part of this event. The applicant shall comply with noise control standards established in Section 9.100.210 (Noise Control) of the Zoning Code. 10. The serving of any food or alcoholic beverages at the event is not permitted. 1 1 . No advertising signs of any kind (i.e. typical freestanding signs, flags, banners, balloons, and similar) are approved or permitted as part of this application. Temporary signs may be permitted subject to the provisions of Section 9.160.060. 12. By holding this outdoor event, the applicant agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the City of La Quinta in the event of any legal claim or litigation arising out of the City's approval of this event. The City of La Quinta shall have the right to select its defense counsel at its sole discretion.
