Eilers Road Aurora, CO 97002 SUBJECT: Minor Use Permit 2003-395 - Privately Sponsored Party at 49875 Avenida Obregon The Community Development Department has approved your request to hold a special outdoor event (reception/dinner) pursuant to LQMC Section 9.60.170, on May 3, 2003. This approval authorizes you to conduct the event from 5:00 p.m. to 11 :00 p.m. on that date, pursuant to compliance with all conditions of this letter; however, you MUST obtain any permits as may be required below in order to physically set up this event. This approval is granted under Section 9.060.170 of the La Quinta Zoning Code, and is subject to the following conditions: 1. A building permit is not required for this event. Please contact the Building and Safety Department at 760-777-7012 for any additional information. 2. Prior to the event set-up, please contact the Riverside County Fire Safety office at 863-8886, Planning and Engineering, for any requirements of the Fire Marshal. 3. Portable generators, if used, shall be shielded to prevent accidental contact with guests. Extension cords shall be ground -secured to prevent tripping. Any lighting shall be directed away from surrounding residential properties. No spot or searchlights are permitted. 4. Roadways/traffic aisles to structures and activities in and around the event will be maintained accessible to emergency vehicles at all times. Any parking attendants shall wear light- colored clothing and reflective vests. Flash lights shall be used after dusk. 5. Any designated private security personnel must be licensed by the State of California and possess a current Private Security Guard license. 6. All temporary electrical wiring to any concession/vendor spaces shall be secured to prevent physical hazards to the public and participants. Wiring/cords shall not be subjected to environmental or physical damage. 7. Any portable restrooms provided shall be ADA -compliant. Such facilities shall be removed within 24 hours of the event closing. 8. The applicant shall comply with noise control standards established in Section 9.100.210 (Noise Control) of the Zoning Code. No amplified music or voice shall be permitted past 10:00 P.M. mm 9. The serving of any food or alcoholic beverages at the event may require approval from Riverside County Department of Health. Caterer(s) shall obtain a City Business License. 10. This approval does not specifically authorize any signs as part of the application. Any temporary signs, banners, etc. shall be subject to the provisions of Section 9.60.170.13.6. 1 1. By holding this outdoor event, the applicant agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the City of La Quinta in the event of any legal claim or litigation arising out of the City's approval of this event. The City of La Quinta shall have the right to select its defense counsel at its sole discretion. The following conditions apply: Approval for the subject TUP shall comply with all information as presented in the applications and contained in the case file. 2. No temporary structures or electric power are approved for this event permit. 3. No ground -mounted or otherwise attached temporary signs are permitted, and no flags, flag strings or similar signing is permitted under this approval; however, typical party favors such as balloons, streamers and the like are permitted. 4. All activities and equipment associated with these events shall be contained within the park area, and removed by day's end. The site shall be left free of any litter or other debris once the event is over. 5. Parking for this event permit shall occur entirely on the subject property within designated parking stalls, or within approved areas as may be permitted by the La Quinta Hotel Resort and Club, and shall not block any designated fire lanes or other access areas as currently designated or required by the Fire Marshal. 6. By conducting this outdoor event, the applicant and all participants agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the City of La Quinta from any legal claim or litigation arising out of the City's approval of this event.
